William H. Parish is a trial lawyer and the founder of Parish & Small. Parish has tried a wide-variety of cases, representing individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in cases ranging from personal injury to complex business litigation. He has been retained as lead counsel in litigation involving claims for hundreds of millions of dollars and has successfully prosecuted and defended multi-million dollar jury trials, court trials and arbitrations.
Parish is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Fellowship in the College is extended only by invitation, after careful investigation, to experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality. Membership is limited to outstanding trial lawyers who are considered the best in a state or province. Membership can never be more than 1% of the total lawyer population of any state or province.
Parish is also a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, an invitation only organization of trial lawyers who have demonstrated excellence in the presentation of civil jury trials and who adhere to the highest standards of professional conduct. The American Board of Trial Advocates is dedicated to preserving our right to trial by jury and to elevate the standards of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession.
Mr. Parish received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from California State University, Sacramento and earned his law degree, with distinction, from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While attending law school, Parish was a staff member and associate editor of the Pacific Law Journal. Parish is also a member of Order of the Coif, Traynor Honor Society, the American Bar Association, San Joaquin County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the State Bar of California. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and various federal courts.
Parish is also active in the community. He has served as president and as a member of the board of directors of the San Joaquin County Chapter of the American Heart Association and is a founding shareholder and director of Community Business Bank.
